Dollarama ha sido un usuario de larga trayectoria de los sistemas din\u00e1micos de 3D Storage Systems, utilizando carros de empuje (Push Back) de bajo perfil desde su primera instalaci\u00f3n en 2003. Inicialmente, empleaban racks drive-in para el almacenamiento, pero el problema del honeycombing (espacios vac\u00edos entre productos) reduc\u00eda la eficiencia a menos del 70%.<\/p>\n

Desde 2003, Dollarama ha reemplazado progresivamente sus sistemas drive-in por pushback, incrementando as\u00ed su capacidad de almacenamiento.<\/p>\n

    La empresa necesitaba almacenar y despachar sus palets GMA con la cara de 48\u201d hacia el frente, lo que requer\u00eda recogerlos a trav\u00e9s de los espacios del pallet entre los largueros en lugar de las aberturas m\u00e1s grandes por el lado de 40\u201d. Adem\u00e1s, optaron por dise\u00f1ar su almac\u00e9n con racks pushback, lo que represent\u00f3 un desaf\u00edo, porque ning\u00fan sistema pushback est\u00e1ndar proporcionaba el espacio libre necesario para que las horquillas se posicionaran sin desplazar prematuramente los carros, dificultando la descarga.<\/p>\n
